  1. Were you able to create and use a template file? Yes.
  2. If your were able to create and use the template file, were you able to save it as HTML? Yes, and to my surprise I actually remembered how to do it for the second week lessons!
  3. Did you begin your HTML "Virtue Notebook" and perform the exercises at the end of Lesson 1? I started my virtual notebook and learned a lot from the exercises.
  4. Were you successful in opening an account with your Internet Provider or one of the free hosts? I already have an account with Verve Hosting. With the help of a friend, I have been working on a weblog for a few months. This course is going to be very instrumental in helping me to expand my website.



I have gone to several sites and weblogs to look at the sources so I could see how the author makes their site look the way it does. I am creating several "blogs" relating to different subject matter and it is very helpful to check out what other people are doing. I am truly not a very creative person, so it's amazing for me to see what is out there!



Ode to HTML
Oh, HTML you confuse me at times;
But gradually the code begins to make sense.
I keep reading and changing
The mistakes I have made,
So maybe the website will eventually look cool!
(LOL! I never said I was a poet!)
